God’s vision for our children goes far beyond success or achievement. He calls them to be light bearers, shaping culture rather than being shaped by it. Jesus’ words in Matthew 5 remind us that influence is not something we chase—it flows naturally from a life grounded in truth, character, and obedience to God. Strength and dignity are formed long before leadership positions are reached. They are built in the home, in daily conversations, in how parents model faith, integrity, courage, and compassion. When children see godly leadership lived out consistently, they learn that leadership is not about power, but about service and impact. The Bible gives us a clear example in Daniel and his friends (Daniel 1). Though young and living in a foreign culture with strong pressure to compromise, they chose faithfulness over popularity. God honoured their convictions, giving them wisdom, favour, and influence in the highest levels of society. Their leadership did not dilute their faith—it amplified it. As families, we are raising the next generation of teachers, leaders, creatives, policymakers, and culture-shapers. When children understand who they are in Christ, they carry His light into schools, workplaces, communities, and nations. True influence flows from a heart submitted to God.
