“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
Reflection
Waiting is one of the hardest parts of walking with God. Our culture prizes speed and instant results, but God often works in seasons of waiting to shape our character, deepen our faith, and prepare us for what lies ahead.
Think of Abraham and Sarah. God promised them a child, but the fulfilment did not come until 25 years later. In the waiting, they struggled, doubted, and even tried to “help God out.” Yet when God’s time came, Isaac was born, proving that His promises never fail.
Waiting is not wasted time. It is a sacred classroom where God teaches us trust, patience, and surrender. Sometimes His delays are not denials—they are divine preparations.
Practical Step
- Seek God in the Waiting – Spend time in prayer and the Word instead of focusing only on what you lack.
- Surrender Your Timeline – Ask God to align your heart with His perfect timing.
- Practice Gratitude – Thank Him for today’s blessings while trusting Him for tomorrow’s provision.
- Encourage Someone Else – Serving others can keep us from growing bitter while we wait.
Prayer
Father,
We thank You that Your timing is always perfect, even when it feels slow to us. Teach us to wait with faith and not frustration. Strengthen us in seasons of delay, and remind us that waiting on You is never wasted.
Help us to trust that Your plans are good, Your promises are sure, and Your timing is best. May we grow in patience, faith, and surrender as we wait quietly for Your salvation.
